About this convening.

Following on from a hugely successful 2025 edition, the Africa Governance, Risk & Compliance Summit returns to Cape Town packed with thought-provoking insights from world-renowned opinion leaders. The 2026 programme runs under the theme "Building Resilient Economies: Integrated GRC for Africa's Sustainable Future" — with practical solutions for today's risk landscape, sharper forecasts on what the continent has to brace for, and cutting-edge takes on the role of technology and sustainability in GRC.

The operating landscape has insisted on staying volatile and dynamic. Geopolitical relations continue to impact economic, governmental, societal and business landscapes. Several organisations in Africa have had to pivot after the countries they operate in were slapped with tariffs, with severe impacts on supply chains and international relations.

By focusing on resiliency, equality and sustainability, the conference will gather experts whose insights promote organisational growth and development — particularly for the Global South — while addressing climate change and digital transformation. The programme will also help build investor confidence and deal flow within the corporate sector.

What you’ll leave with.

  • Design, implement and adapt internal controls that meet evolving regulatory requirements while enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Align governance initiatives with broader risk management goals to protect sensitive data and ensure business continuity.
  • Unlock the potential of data as a strategic asset — leveraging analytics to inform decisions and improve audit performance.
  • Strengthen organisational structure, foster transparency and build trust among stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of emerging risks with innovative management approaches across AI, blockchain and beyond.
  • Balance risk and opportunity in decision-making while keeping your organisation agile.
